Talkin' Lack of Righteousness Blues 1
Dec 05, 2003, 07:24
"Righteous" (adj) "Meeting the standards of what is right and just; morally right; guiltless."

[From the Old"Righteous" (adj) "Meeting the standards of what is right and just; morally right; guiltless."

[From the Old English riht-wis: riht, RIGHT + wis, WISE (way).]

At the front of this very site stands a brief welcome. As regarding the Unsung part of this site it states very simply, '...you want to learn or share knowledge about obscure rock'n'roll.'

Now that's not taken out of context and I don't believe for a moment I've stepped on anyone's toes or taking this subject too far or too pendant. And if someone thinks I am, then that someone is either too sensitive or lazy while dodging the very real reason why this site is around and NEEDS to be:
To learn and/or share knowledge.

That's why I've been checking in here since Day One a couple of times a month and as a result I've learnt a lot about all kinds of rock'n'roll music I never thought could have existed. It's made me question and discard a lot of preconceived notions, as I hope it has for you, too.

But along the way, there were problems involving certain posters whose only agenda were to insult and play mind games. I was very turned off by this violation so I didn't return to this discussion forum for a long time.

Time was when the population of this site was far smaller, and believe it or not, DAYS would pass with no new messages. Since then, there's been a lot more people aboard, so of course the posts have, too.

Unfortunately, with it has also increased a decided lack of considered responses, opinions or facts. Most of it has involved itself with nothing less than various soap operas and other messages of no lasting value.
I know who to avoid by name when they post because they have consistently proven their lack of discrimination and judgment to me. And that's my right (I'm sure you got yours, too.)

The lists of best/worst/longest/shortest/most psychedelic/bad albums by good bands/good albums by bad bands/favorite member are tiresome to an extreme, so after a wad of them cropped up since last year, I stopped wading through them.
