Exhibit E.4: And for all the quiet parts in "Dazed And Confused" live at Madison Square Garden, 1973 where everything (sound, time and space) just....stops Kick ass

"Bonzo had got up to do his sound check, and the three James Brown drummers had sidled over. They started looking around for the other drummers, because he sounded like what all three of them did, but there was only one of him! And they just stood around, with their jaws dropped. He was pretending not to notice them; he was showing off somewhat." --John Paul Jones

For the droning timeless folk weirdness that is 'Friends' "The greatest thing you ever can do now, izzcree-ate a smile for someone who's blue now!" The whole thing was melancholic and celebratory at once, and of course finally drones into 'Celebration Day' which blows away all the clouds like a big sunray. Genius!

Exhibit F.4: And for that one part perched right on the edge of the 33th guitar solo in "Dazed And Confused" live at Madison Square Garden, 1973 where there's a close up on Pagey's face as he makes a pursed-lip face and looks like Paul McCartney just about to say, "Oh, and here's one for the grans, y'know" when he freezes and his eyeball expands into a scene where black cops are chasing this young longhair through a stadium corridor (Themselves probably descendants of Blind Willie McTell lookin' to recoup some ill-gained loot)... Kick ass

Exactly that second of time and sound and imagery is one of those once-in-a-megacade moments! I once saw that bit with a fair few of the old mushrooms opening some doors. I swear the world expanded and never shrank since. also John Paul Jones invented trance-rock music that night on at that moment.

Hoo yeah--Gimme five, Morfe! (SLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP) One thing's for certain: Jonesy's stage garb (in certain parts: he was slack and refused to wear the same outfit on all of the filming nights) deffo looks like Graham Chapman playing Brian Jones at Monterey. Whaddya think? (Kick ass)
