did anyone hear the story on the news about bananas as we know them being extinct in ten years? Something to do with monoculture and them having no sex life. Apparently, we need to let those lovely people at Monsanto modify them if we want to keep enjoying smoothies. I'd like more details, any links? I can't find anything.

Then they came for the bananas, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a banana. The banana magnate Naboa was thrown at Ecuadors last election for a better guy, so thats a happy banana story.

LOL! The Ann Widdecombe picture and caption is classic... I've noticed quite a few things like that on the BBC News site - they *always* put the classic 'jobs blow' headline up, which still gives me a childish snigger everytime.
