Why is this still going on?

From an article in the NY Times:

If you have an occupying army in the streets of your town, then the kids in that town are going to throw rocks at the tanks. What the hell is wrong with the world when the soldiers fire back?!
The people who represent our interests - the people we elected - are supporting the policy of the State of Israel, and are providing the arms and ammunition to carry it out. They are complicit in the cold-blooded murder of children.
(And don't anyone try to tell me that an appropriate response to suicide-bombers is to shoot dead 8-year-old children! Cos anyone with half a brain knows that the only result of that will be the creation of more suicide bombers.)

Yeah.
I was thinking at the weekend when they shot the UN bloke from the UK that it would only take one of the shabloids to have a "How many more of our brave boys have to die before this government does something?" headline to get the ball moving. Of course, it didn't happen.

Because the human race has found the self destruct button and when told not to push something, what do people do?.
Makes you physically sick to think about what goes on. Makes you even sicker that people actually teach their kids to hate now. For the sake of a name, a language or any other difference between people, for the sake of following orders, for the sake of not being able to make their own mind up & say no.
You never know, things may get better.
