Is THIS What You Wanted?
Jun 29, 2016, 08:36
http://www.tvp.info/25939587/europejskie-superpanstwo-zobacz-oryginalny-dokument

This document is popping up everywhere. If genuine, and it's now widely circulated, it's the blueprint for the new European Super-State. The one that has been feared by all right-minded, freedom loving people.

Regardless of the votes for leave or remain, this is exactly the affront to democracy that many of us feared was being brewed up by the nameless, faceless bureaucrats of the EUSSR.

Regardless of how you voted, it's time to quit your fucking whining and help re-build the UK, together, as we want it.

You're right, we desperately need to rebuild the UK. We need to rebuild a tolerant country where the wealth is not concentrated in the hands of the few. We need to rebuild a country where you don't need to be scared to be black, or Polish, or Muslim. We need to rebuild a country where the state supports the weakest and most vulnerable in society. Where workers' rights are protected. Where the countryside and our heritage is protected.

And right now all of that looks a very long way away. We have the prospect of a government by the right of the Tories with an unelected prime minister. The rise of open rascism. More and more cuts to public services. The repeal of the Human Rights Act. The privatisation of the NHS. An opposition hellbent on getting rid of its leader because he's too "decent" and "honest". This is the Britain (or England and Wales) that Thatcher's children have built, and it's terrifying.

We had an unelected Prime Minister with Gordon Brown. That worked out well, didn't it? We're still paying for that feck-up!

I am no Tory, but the EU running every par of our business scares the hell out of me!

And now it's official:

At least we can get rid of our politicians and make our own laws and rules.

You CANNOT get rid of the unelected EU leaders, and that's Totalitarianism!

Yes we did and you're right that his lack of electoral mandate undermined him (although he certainly didn't cause the 2007 crash). The government should call another election.

They can't. Cameron made it law that there is a period of 5 years between elections. That can be broken, but it's a big gamble to take.

Laws can be repealed. There is already a huge swathe of legislation that will have to be either amended or repealed because of the vote.

You have taken something from the website of the state-controlled media of the Polish PiS party. PiS is not highly regarded even in Poland for presenting anything like the objective view of anything. Its policies have been characterised by the opposition, not without reason, as National-Socialist and for this reason has three times already (they came to power in November) been faced by rule-of-law criticisms by the EU (once over the manner they established their grip on the media from which you took this). This is their retaliation. They want to turn their electorate against the EU.

I suggest blotting out the inflamatory headline added by the Poles and reading the document on its own merits. How, instead would you prefer to deal with the issues raised?

I think in terms of protecting the ancient heritage (which is what this forum is about) it would make more sense to attempt to coordinate efforts on a trans-border scale like this, rather than through fragmentary treatment within smaller regions by existing organs lacking in external clout or support. As we know, all you have to do at the moment to launder most looted artefacts is take them out of the country where they were illegally dug up, as by the law of another country "they cant touch you for it" (because most of those laws protect only the heritage of the state they were promulgated in). That's why you can buy stuff in London auction houses that a seller would not get away with selling in the source country. If there was legislation which had wider scope, damaging archaeological looting and trafficking could be dealt with once and for all.

Isolationism clearly cannot deal with transnational threats such as organized criminal networks and terrorism (or since someone mentioned national security, hybrid attacks). The old systems rooted in nineteenth century ideas may not be the most suitable for dealing with the changed and changing world we live in today. At least it is worth substantive discussion rather than the derisive dismissal.

OK, hopefully after this mess, we, the UK will have a set of politicians who can look after our best interests in doing this properly. What the EU want is to take all of that decision making away from sovereign states. Give that power to the unelected, unaccountable elite.

OK, here's the official EU source: http://eeas.europa.eu/statements-eeas/2016/160628_02_en.htm With much weasel words hiding the true intent.

As to your other points, we can have almost all of that without ceding control of our own state, peoples, borders etc. I'm for self-determination, not this bunch of control freaks who don't actually care about us.

At least we can vote for our own politicians!
