He hires & fires his band at any given opportunity; sometimes apparently on a whim. His band/s deserve sainthood. He's a raving, ranting full on alchy. Live, at times he is almost illegible. He is & always has been the opposite of PC, & sometimes can be offensive. He is, however a bloody genius at times & early Fall, my favourite period is a marvel to hear.

The Fall are still relevant today. Not just totally wired and Hex. They have never made a bad record. Mark E Smith is an orchestrator, par excellence. He doesn't even play guitar or piano. That is genius!
