After a cowardly knife attack on the Tube at Leytonstone, a bystander shouted to the attacker "You ain't no Muslim bruv". Brilliantly this has been taken up as a response to violence claimed to be in the name of religion. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-35020427#?utm_medium=twitter

Just saw this on Twitter, great response. Can't understand the mentality of the attacker, what exactly would knifing someone on the tube achieve in protesting against attacks in Syria? Bit of a dick really.

Oh I think you both know what he meant by saying that. Same as when someone commits a violent act in the name of Christianity, quite rightly a non violent Christian may just say 'you are not Christian'. Technically incorrect perhaps but all the same saying it in the spirit of 'you do not represent the vast majority of Christians'. There are 3 million Muslims in the UK, incidents like this have been more than extremely rare.

Just heard on our C4 news that he was under psychiatric care, having had brain frazzled by smoking too much cannabis. A smite on cannabis use? No, vast majority of people handle it ok. But by your surety are all cannabis users the same? Weeks before hand his family had pleaded with the police to intervene, fearing he may be about to kick off. That is a failure in our system I am sure. EDIT: In fact, cannabis use and psychosis links both that and those who committed the horrendous murder of soldier Lee Rigby. Just found it a bit too swift that the authorities were treating this purely as a 'terrorist incident'.

Jesus on a bike did you hear Cameron trying to say it? The 'bruv' bit was just...wrong. ;-)
