Yes, that has always been a bit of a head scratcher.
I do like to read the Telegraph comments section to get a flavour of what might be going on there.
You get something along the lines of 'I work and have never claimed tax credits/benefits in my life so sod you' and I think, deary me, can't you see how just by dint of circumstance *you* could be next in the firing line?
In fact QT woman you speak of is shining example of that.
EDIT: Of course she is in receipt of tax credits but all the same swallowing the 'we are on the side of hardworking people' should really now go down as well as a dose of revenge porn.

not even 'hard' working these days, they were saying plain old Working People. The tories the party of working people Oh ha ha ha ha. It'd be funny if some of those working people hadn't seemingly swallowed it hook line and sinker. Short memories I assume?

PMQ was very interesting.
Corbyn's got them eating out his hand.
First few questions regards tax credits he asked from his own perspective, to which Cameron made the odd snide silly grunty remark, then when Corbyn humanised the point by brining 'Karen' into it Cameron went as sheepish as a guilty pup sitting next to a pile of poop.
Back bench tory a-hole 'read an e mail from one of his constituents named John' which did not ring true as content was just Tory sound bite nonsense.
Oh and one Tory read from someone aged 1 month old.
Obviously trying to mock/usurp Corbyn but making themselves look like clowns.
Oh and no mention of 'working' never mind 'hard working' people at all from them.
All just a euphemism for 'scum' anyway.

I enjoyed the fact that Corbyn pointed out that Cameron didn't answer the straightforward question even at the sixth time of asking.
Tories jeering at questions being asked by members of the public though: "Electorate? Who?"
Hopefully the message that many of those claiming tax credits are in full time employment is starting to be heard though, while IDS suggests that jobs advice should be given at foodbanks.
"Hello, poor peasant coming here for a tin of beans. Have you considered getting a job?"
"Yes thanks, I work full time in a Job Centre but the wages are so pitiful that I have to come here if I want to feed my family"

If 4bn comes off welfare spending through this measure there are obviously going to be massive reductions to the rates businesses pay in order to 'afford' the 'living wage', or least least not to fall out with the Tories big time over it.
I imagine that will reduce the coffers by far more.
But then again the bill was passed without any of the usual scrutiny or verification and it is ideologically driven.
November will tell I suppose.
But the media build up will be bigger than if England or even Scotland (aye I know I know) were to be in the next word cup final.
Yes I have heard the latest from the little slime bag Blatter.
Another subject tho.
But as you pointed out earlier, the Tories got much of the working class vote, and in Peterborough (a Tory marginal) 76% of workers claim tax credits.
Why oh why that makes them Tory voters who knows but they will be mindful of that.
