You're coming at independence from a far different place than the Northern Irish Catholics who suffered terrible human rights abuses: Gerrymandering, Protestant "business votes" allowing certain people to vote more than once, discrimination in housing and employment policy, the very nasty loyalist Royal Ulster Constabulary. Different times, differently treated and a different fight. It wouldn't surprise me if DAESH were to try to hit Glasgow, Cardiff or Edinburgh. Being targeted for what can be seen as London Policy, it would cause irreparable constitutional crises.

Errm. I am from Northern Irish stock. Been whipped both ways. I believe in a true republic for both nations.

You must be fucking miserable living with all those folks who stole your land as you live on theirs.
As for us Scots historically not using guns, there was many a twirling kilt dancing over the corpses of the colonised as there were 'Morris Dancers' or whatever.
Your campaign for freeeedooom conducted over the net is it?
For what good are you to your comrades from where you are?
Fuck sake had enough of this bullshit.

Not miserable at all. Although home is home. I'm a Londoner and that is where my power lies. In London. I love this city. I go home 3 times a year to see family and friends. That is probably 90 more visits than anybody who gives a fuck.

As for influence? I tell people that Scotland should be its own country. More than you do.

I would have stayed in Glasgow if The GGHB had jobs at the time. They didn't. So I moved.

Great, then you understand that there is a bell of a lot more difference between you Scots and the Irish than just you not wanting to use guns

Scotland is its own country.
I do not know what you mean.
I find your lack of empathy for the people you live beside incredibly sad.
It's not a case of 'still being their friends', I am sure you would be.
The one thing we have in common is class, wherever throughout this daft little land of ours that may be.
I have sod all in common with a banker from Banff or a land owner from Uist but everything in common with some factory worker in Newcastle or Brighton.
That for you the important part is 'so long as it's Scotland' is really, really unfortunate.
We are the people of Britain as much as Scotland.

I have total empathy with where I live and where I come from. I have a job to do too. It took me 8 years to get one of my patients from hospital to some kind of community. That was worth it. Nobody else could put so much effort in. I did. Hard Yakka. There is no dichotomy.

You live there knowing it is a place you would rather not be, in that you would rather England would be separated from Scotland.

Which it isn't and won't be.

Pity SNP didn't have all their MPs for the vote as two of them are suspended having being investigated for fraud.

I am sure their SNP card carrying lawyer (Anwar) will ensure a fair and thorough outcome.

I've said enough as this thread isn't about that.

I'm ok where I am. Now, if Scotland were indy then I would go home.

All your fault!
