Adam Curtis is so great.

I wish people still made singles that reflect our fragmented world as perfectly as this little film does.

Still not sure how well his mini-docs mesh with the Screenwipe format, but props to Brooker for putting them in there anyway. Curtis' blog, in which he uses his access to a trillion hours of BBC archival footage to show our history like we seldom see it, is a Godsend. Just watched this, thank you - the narrative near the end of the film talks about the "strange mood of out times where nothing really makes any coherent sense" chimed a bell with me.
