Putin Needs Shootin'

As much as I love Russian history, this man needs to die. I thought Pussy Riot were serious. Now this? Kill him.

He is far from socialism.

I lost a cousin in The Bali bombing. I was in that pub in Ealing when the car bomb went off from those morons of The Real IRA. Talk about picking on your own? It was scary.

Hardly targets.

Never a fan of this Putin. Anti-gay, anti-freedom, just like the majority of those Eastern Europeans (I should know, I've dealt with the fuckers on the internet to know most of them are the worst kind of bigots.)

Then again I'm no fan of the Ukraine either, as it's been obvious neo-nazis were behind much of the independence movement.

Yep. Another addition to the list of countries I'm boycotting as long as their current regime is in place (along with Israel). Always thought he was a neo-Stalin waiting for an opportunoity to show his true colours anyhow. He may have tho Russian Orthodox church rather than The Communist Manifesto as his ethical touchstone, but he's definitely an old-school dicatator beneath the quasi-democratic veneer.

The most depressing aspect of all this is that he seems to be pretty popular in his own country to boot.

Among the current crop of major world leaders, I'd rate Putin as the best. He diffused the Syrian situation last summer, which prevented a major US bombing campaign. He gave Snowden asylum. And the BRICS, if they continue to develop, have the potential to offer the world for the first time in half a century an alternative to the American/IMF dominated economic status quo. All positive things in my book. Not to say that Putin is a saint, simply the lesser evil given the actual leaders that we have.

Regarding the current MH017 thing, I find it disturbing that so many are willing to buy into what our corporate-controlled "free media" dictate to us once again. Considering all the times they have lied to us before, I don't see why this case should be any different. Common sense would tell you that there is no reason why the Russian government or the East Ukrainian "rebels" would have deliberately shot down the plane. Just because CNN, the BBC and the NYT repeat the same things ad infinitum doesn't make it true.

He's not exactly been the rallying call of equal rights in the world but get what you mean, things would have been a lot worse in Syria and elsewhere if he and China hadn't have said no.

As for this, the jury's still out, there's conflicting reports about who did what and what happened. I wouldn't like to think he was behind it, wouldn't make much sense really, especially as he's telling officials over there to help investigations.

Regarding the shooting down of the plane, it probably was an accident and the idiots that fired it may have thought it was a millitary vessel, however how did that kind of armoury get there in the first place?
Free media? Most of the media in the 'so called West' is absolute filth corrupt garbage, but there is no proper free media in Russia, which is why most of the citizens cannot, and are pretty much not allowed to see any other point of view. Putin is popular. So what? To say otherwise would be like taken off to the salt mines of Siberia! David Cameron is popular in the UK, as he got voted in, but we can get rid of him if we want. Not so in Russia, as it seems with Putin.
