Canadians close to legalising pot

For the past couple of years the Canadian
government has been moving closer and closer
to the legalisation of cannabis. Convictions for
medical use were recently overturned by the
High Courts, and the government is moving
slowly and quietly towards complete
legalisation - way beyond the Dutch model for
instance.

This is an incredibly brave (and shockingly
sensible) stance for them to take... what with
that noisy neighbour to the south. And i only
hope that the reformers continue to make
progress and don't end up in the same
quagmire as their counterparts in the UK.
