The repugnancy of this vicious and completely unfounded, unnecessary ideological persecution of the vulnerable is an outrage, but nothing much seems to be said in the mainstream media, which is a further outrage in itself. A society that will not, not 'cannot', care for and support its most vulnerable is a moral disgrace and can not regard itself as civilised, but it most certainly can as utterly shameful.

Thankyou as well Drew. I doubt it'll ever happen in Scotland, and I'm hoping and praying for a serious fight back as large sections of the population here are gradually starting to become aware as to what's happening, and there is a growing sense of cynicism and anger in general. Lets' hope it increases. Early days and fingers crossed.

Cheers Seacat, unfortunately it's Labour who are gaining the votes. They have been as much use to Scotland as a chocolate ash tray. Their supposed defence of Scotland being as bad as Hibs defence at the weekend!

This awful and heartrending story is getting mass coverage, as it should.
FACT: David Cameron claimed DLA for his own disabled son, from a 'second rate' NHS whom he praised at the time for their wonderful care, before promising parents of disabled children, that they would be fully supported under a Tory Government.
FACT: Only an average of 5% of DLA claims are in any way fraudulent.
