coroner's courts and stuff
Aug 30, 2002, 12:06
A story in today’s grauniad reports various proposed changes in the way coroner’s courts work.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk_news/story/0,3604,783124,00.html

Now there are many many problems with their work methods, but these solutions sound even worse. Especially the idea that deaths at work shouldn’t be automatically investigated. This government has never given a flying fuck about workplace murders, the corporate manslaughter act is a joke. Unbelievably only 1 IN 5 deaths at work are ever investigated by the police. ONE IN FIVE!!!!! It’s a fucking disgrace. And the proposed changes would only drive that figure to an even lower level. Fuckers.

(see http://www.simonjones.org.uk and/or http://www.nosweat.org.uk for more stuff about deaths at work and the fight against casualisation)
