When will people learn?

Another tot killed by two family dogs. A 3 month old baby this time.

I don't care now about the 'oh he's a good dog' or 'it's the owner's to blame' stuff anymore (although that the bull terrier was called 'Tyson' is a bit disconcerting). That sort of debate just spins into eternity.

They may have been brilliant pooches otherwise. But for the love of common sense you shouldn't allow a babe to be alone with a pet hamster never mind anything else. It's all about limiting dangers.

We sort of shun the nanny state approach at times but I do think it is needed when it comes to this. Some serious awareness raising needs done and soon.

These are more than likely decent people whose lives have been ruined forever, but I fear they will not be the last.

There was a woman I used to meet at my daughter's nursery who had a rottweiler. She had a girl aged 4 and a boy of about a year.
I'd make idle chat with her and did have to tell he once that her dog 'unnerved' me a bit, as I was avoiding me and the little un walking alongside it.
She said with great conviction that he wouldn't hurt a fly, he was soft as shite etc, which worried me.
I just hope to hell she NEVER feels that confident about the thing regards her children.
