British Gas Links Profit Rise To Massive Price Increases

The chairman (or somesuch) of Centrica was on the Today programme explaining that they had to put prices up and down. apparently "the price dropped 50% and we lowered charges by 20%, then prices rose by 50% again..." Erm, is that not still a net drop of 25%? Has the git got so much money that he's lost the need to be able to count?
