Yes they do - at AC the filaments vibrate at the frequency of the current (..or is it twice the frequency? My physics not that clever!) which weakens it over time. Another way to extend bulb life is to leave them switched on, since heating/cooling stresses the filament as well. Not good for energy conservation admittedly...
