God put dinosaurs there, and made them look all old and that to test our faith. Don't you people know anything?

I think the only creationism they should teach is the Alan McGee story.

If you read the article it does say that Creationism isn't going to be taught in our schools. I somehow can't see that ever happening in our state schools, thank goodness.
However, I don't see what is wrong with a healthy and itelligent debate on the subject, whether in science or re classes (and I really don't think it matters which class this happens in, as I believe in a holistic apporaoch to education and in this case we are hoping to encourage the discussion of ideas that potentially touches both areas). Present kids with the known facts, the theories, the varying beliefs and let them make thier own minds up.

Yeah, but not such a palatable proposition when viewed in conjunction with the expansion of faith schools that will come with Tony's education revolution. There's another thread on U-Know! about creationism with some disturbing statistics about science/medical graduates' belief in creationism.

Keep it in church/temple/mosque/synagogue.

"Don't pray in my school, and I wont think in your church..."

Don't know the author.
