You are not a 60's/70's TV show 'special person' sent from the stars to save humanity. What we do to help each other is human. Human qualities. What we decide to be human qualities are our own. Current consumer 'hypnosis' rises from a lack of self-reliance, not a Grand Scheme to Destroy Humanity.

Don't think they ever really had "communism" in Russia - they just got one Tzar replaced by another, but the fact is that pre 1917 they were about 100 years behind the rest of Europe. They had to catch up fast, waste a lot of resources fighting off the destabilisation efforts of the west in the 1920's, and then basically win the war against fascism for us and the Americans to take the credit. No wonder it became such a paranoid state!
I think Russians have a lot of soul, but those who want a return to the Tzars, or a totally unfettered freemarket are pretty misguided I reckon.
