After watching 60 minute makeover this morning, I was surprised never to to have heard of the above project. Either they kept quiet about it, or I've lost touch, probably the latter.
Could I ask if anyone here would be interested in living in such a place?

We've worked with this Trust on many occassions! There are a shed load of grants out there that Charities can apply for to make their buildings, offices and homes ecologically sound. We've got solar panels on a few of our houses and have build some of our flats from recycled materials. We did however have our planning application for a wind turbine in the middle of Shirley turned down by the Council!! ;o)

There seems to be a policy up here of schools being ecologically sound. I think it's one of the conditions of the PPP agreements. Recently, two new schools in Cumbernauld were built. There was an outcry when it was decided that they would share a campus seeing as one was non-d and the other cafflick. The bigotry in the west of scotland soon raised it's head. However, this was nothing compared to the complaints when a turbine was erected. In fact the locals united in opposition.
