Yes and I wonder if it is the same God Peter Sutcliffe (The Yorkshire Ripper) used to hear. Both of them are mass murderers.

Isn't that rather too easy?
It's easy to write off the politicians as stupid and short sighted, but however moronic they may be, they get their advice and direction from people with long term goals and a clear idea of the way the world works. That they choose to act in the way they do is not stupidity, it's cynical and machiavellian.

I agree, and I think that in most cases 'God' is just an excuse for doing what they want to do anyway. Eisenhower used to have that sign on his desk saying 'The Buck Stops Here'. Bush et al can just pass that buck to the man upstairs. Must be nice.
