AAARRGHHH!!! IS THIS PIECE OF MISINFORMATION STILL GOING ON!
Sorry. Those images were NOT shot in 1991. The person responsible for the rumour (a brazilian student) has already apologised and retracted the statement. There are plenty of sites out there explaining this piece of misinformation, and proving that it's crap. There is a lot wrong with the reporting and level of journalism on this issue, but this 1991 story is not true.

The BBC also shot their own footage of the protests (phone em up and ask for jill Matthews), as did many other agencies 'Reuters' and 'AP' did too. LOOK at the footage, the banners and slogans relate directly to the event.

I think this is circulating again because there were comments last night on the BBCs Newsnight about use of old footage to show the Palestinians celebrating.
