Economic interests! Ha!
Economic bully-boy tactics is more to the truth... you go in and destroy somewhere and then give your own companies the contracts to go in and rebuild. I'm sure that there are some areas of the USA and the UK that could stand the same tactics, but no, people would complain and we can't have that can we, at least not by people that anyone is going to listen to...
