I was today researching ethical and humanitarian projects for my links page, (BTW if anyone knows of any crucial global links please send them to the discussion board at billiondollarproject.com)
ANYway, I found a specious freaking individual writing about Australasia's '2.6bn dollar project', and to be honest I'm quaking with rage after reading what he IBM International Marketing Manager) had to say: here is an extract:
"Add them all up and there are least 2.6 billion people on this planet who are so disadvantaged that they are simply not part of our economic machine. Every one of them is a potential customer. Every one of them can make a contribution to the global economy."
This is no fucking wind up, it's actually someone who gets his jollies, no doubt making a personal fortune, by writing reports and recommendations to 'utilise' disadvantaged people and increase Gross National Product. The phrase 'economic machine' , hahahah, well I though he was just describing himself. "Hi, my names Mark, I'm an economic machine, pleased to meet you and all your disabled friends..."
