Of course the funny thing with Wolverines is that Hugh Jackman is a foot taller than he looks in those Xmen films.
I think he stepped in at the last moment to replace the geezer who was sposed to play him. And Wolverine is 5ft 3 in the comic.
Thunbk it very strange when I saw HJ appear to be a total stretch in Van Hesing. Thunk what's this the good old Alan Ladd cardboard box routine writ large? (check out the poster for Electra Glide in Blue for details of Ladd's true height)
