I think he's a boorish twunt too, though annoyingly capable of wit on occasion.
I get the impression he's bit of a real-world troll in a way. Locked into representing the oafish Loaded boyracer set, he issues inflammatory diatribes against his cartoon 'lentil eating' nemeses 'cos that's his persona. He's painted himself in a corner really. He ain't thick - he has kids; he knows the style he advocates is short term and selfish.
But he's CLARKSON innee? He HAS to be a cunt!
Funnily enough a few years ago at my old work, there was a magazine lying about in the coffee room -OK or Hello or somesuch shite - and I leafed through it. And there was Clarkson and his brood, pictured on their bicylcles extolling the wholesome virtues of cycling. And yet as far as I'm aware cyclists are one of his 'pet peeves'. At leasts as far as his telly fans know.
Still, I am quite impressed he has managed to get his very own Scrappy Doo i.e scaled down and yet more annoying version, in the FHM felching Richard Hammond.
