or perhaps - oh no! perhaps there's no point in being Good? If you've got no conscience and you trample on everybody and you have exactly what you want your own way all the time and you earn stacks of dosh and you have no friends but you do have a big house and a flashy car - perhaps it doesn't matter?

You could say be nice to others and they'll be nice to you - but what if you don't care if they're nice to you or not?

If you don't believe in God or post-death judgement, why be good? Why are we all being Nice???

Oh no. Philosophical nightmare. That's all I need. If anyone can give me a simple answer I'd love to hear it.
