For a cracking read get "Rites Of The Gods" by our main man Aubrey Burl. A superb read full of great facts and bugger all in the way of New Age speculation. There is speculation as to what some of the crazier burials could have meant or why they were made, but there's none of the hocus-pocus poured in on top to make up for poor/shallow content that blights so many books of the 1990s.

You also don't get the impression that the 'evidence' given has been hand picked to back up a pet theory either :-)

A cracking book!
