Dumgoyach stones
Apr 27, 2018, 17:38
On a recent walk on the west highland way I noticed that the dumgoyach stones now have a huge fence around the surrounding Field preventing access to the stones does anyone have any information on another way in as the fence is quite high.

Took a wander to these stones about a decade ago. It was on a day's fishing the Endrick and Blane Water. We followed a path along an old railway track by the Blane Water and crossed over the rough moorland bit of field with the stones in it. I don't recall any fence or obstacles to access.
I presume the fence is just alongside the WHW footpath? Can you not go round the side?
