Spring Walks - including Avebury

I couldn't resist 'sharing' this article. Can't wait to get back out in the Avebury landscape on a Spring morning and hear the skylarks again - contains a superb photo of Silbury. Home is where the heart is and Silbury is its heartbeat.

Happy Spring Equinox to all.

And to you tjj.

I can't wait to get back out, it's been a dark, cold and dreary last couple of months.

Picked up a copy of Steve Marshall's new publication today - Avebury Days - An Easy Walking Guide. Superb little book, aimed at new visitors really. It has eight walks (or 'tours') plus a section titled 'Further Afield' with stunning photos of the the wild orchids which can be found around the Adam's Grave area. A must buy for anyone who loves Avebury and surrounding area, regardless of how many times you've visited - £4.99 from all the usual outlets.
