Oops wrong bit of thread, soz (bloody tablet).

Gotta say, last time I was holidaying at Bodmin about 5 years back, the sky didn't seem that dark to me, even during my 2 a.m. wanderings. Mind you, locally those newly installed LED lights do seem to give less upward pollution than the old sodium lighting. For me, it's not so much light as sound pollution, depending on wind direction, traffic/aircraft noise can be very intrusive to some spaces (esp up ont' Boddy moor).

Thanks for the directions Roy, I'll store them away for when I can use them. Lots of unpacking to do first!!

Not quite as far west as we'd like, but somewhat west of Truro, which is close enough for now ;-)

That's okay Alan. I've been down the far west loads of times from Launceston for a day and you'll be halfway there already. Not only that but there is a fair bit going on down Lizard way worth looking at as well.
You probably know by now but the A30 work at temple is complete now (just two bridge crossings to finish off) so an easy trip down. Good luck and I hope the move goes well.
