Everytime I turn the radio on they're saying the green goddesses have returned and are saving lives.

I too have absently misunderstood a news-reader saying "Green Goddesses are back on the streets protecting us..."
Needless to say, it was something of a disappointment to realise the true context after my second-or-two of complete cognitive dissonance.
