Re: Summer Solstice 2015

Drove up to Mam Tor in the end. The cold wind and changeable weather put us off actually climbing the mother hill to see the sun rise, so we drove a short distance down the other side of the hill where we were able to get a spectacular view of the solstice sunrise. I know the sun rises and sets every day, but for some reason we left feeling we had witnessed something pretty special and felt honoured. A few brave souls had made their way up the hill, but mostly it was a lot quieter than I expected with only about 10 max making the trek up there and where we were we were completely alone. Fab experience and I am so glad we took the chance and went (which we nearly didn't) :-)
