CGI Pentre Ifan

There is an item on the CADW website which shows how Pentre Ifan may have looked when first built using CGI.

Worth a look if you have a few spare minutes.

"This video gives you an idea of how Pentre Ifan Burial Chamber in Pembrokeshire would have looked "

In the Aubrey Manning series 'Talking Landscapes' shown originally a few years back there was one about Pembrokeshire which had a reconstruction of Pentre Ifan covered by an earth mound so who's to say this latest suggestion is right?

Excavations in 1936-37 and 1958-59 showed that the monument had been surrounded by a Long Cairn with horns surrounding a forecourt .Frances Lynch suggests the monument began by being surrounded by a cairn wih the forecourt and extension of cairn added later .
