Does any one know........?

I have just this link passed to me and was wondering if anyone knows how to maybe speed up getting the site listed before any more damage is done.

Well it seems difficult, according to this petition, but perhaps people will sign so that EH can do something about it..

A Plymouth City Council spokeswoman added: “Our officers cannot physically prevent a land owner from carrying out unauthorised development if they are determined to do so.

“We will investigate all unauthorised developments and take appropriate action in response, which could include issuing a planning enforcement notice requiring the unauthorised works to be removed, if they are considered harmful.

“It is therefore very unwise for land owners to carry out works without planning permission from the council when this is required, as this can prove very costly if expensive works then have to be removed.

“While it is not a crime to carry out building works without planning permission, it is a crime not to comply with an enforcement order where one has been issued.”

Talk about closing the gate when the horse has bolted!!

Signed. Thanks for the link Moss. I will now try and get as many locals as I can to do the same. Oddly enough the land is adjacent to my ex-brother-in -law as he is the next door neighbour to the person who has bought the land.
