I watched the programmes you mentioned. It was loaded with Rory Stewart's Conservativism, a weird political agenda and much post-hoc rationalisation of his own role in a number of military conflicts. He crossed the Border too, in a strange attempt to gerrymander the bounds of his constituency. I didn't like that much as he doubled the number of Tory MPs in Scotland whenever he did so. We already keep one as an example - we don't need two.
But my old mate Matt did some music for the series so that took the worser edges off.
