This is rather interesting from The Daily Heil. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2038898/Samantha-Camerons-father-plans-wind-turbines-Britains-glorious-landscapes--YOU-helping-pay-it.html I'm not sure about the usefulness of Wind Turbines, to be honest, but this man's altruism for only a few measly extra pennies is a lesson to us all, shurely.....

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/hands-off-our-land/8772616/Hands-Off-Our-Land-Womens-Institute-joins-battle-to-save-the-green-belt.html I wont be so sniffy/cynical again. Good on them. It seems like there is a very English form of revolt in the air at last! Lord Snooty and his lackeys are beginning to feel some serious heat at last, and not just on this topic.

Yes, it seems the Shire Counties are pretty upset. I guess what that shows is that they're getting to realise that voting for this lot wasn't a vote for their own interest but for he interests of the hidden people that are steering the party. Duh! Incidentally, it seems the new regs will limit how much Developers have to contribute to infrastructure. And lets them off providing a specified proportion of "affordable housing". Mind you, there are ways round that anyway. Avebury said yes to development on the assumption the builders would buid some starter homes. They did - but not in Avebury!

WTF ?!?! Is he really that stupid to think that people will fall for this, or is seriously taking the piss: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/hands-off-our-land/8777899/David-Cameron-I-promise-to-protect-the-countryside.html You really couldn't make it up.

Did you see he also trotted out the thing about foxes have to be controlled and this is the kindest way to do it. Someone should point out the ecology principle - populations always expand to whatever is sustainable so killing a few never will (and never has) made a difference to the numbers. And as for it being "least cruel" rather than plain "effing cruel", well....

Oscar Wilde was so right. He shoots stags and hunts disabled people as well, you know.

Yep. Being ripped apart by a pack of baying hounds led by a pack of baying Toffs sure is humane: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WgZb_jfFhnk Empathy for your fellow creatures is what being human is about.
