Assuming it’s the weighty tome illustrated between pages 14 and 16. Page 15 seems to be missing (tsk... though it appears in the toolbar).

To quote from the intro -

"Avebury World Heritage Site Management Plan
Review and Update

"In 1992 a brief Management Statement was put together by English Heritage outlining a coordinated approach to protecting and managing Avebury World Heritage Site. The first comprehensive WHS Management Plan based on extensive research, detailed studies and public consultation was published in 1998. The Stonehenge Management Plan was produced soon after in 2000."

Maybe you can run us a condensed version when you have a minute or two ;-) Alternatively we’re informed that, “For further information contact the Avebury World Heritage Site Officer Sarah Simmonds: [email protected] tel: 01225 718470.”

For something only marginally less blood-pressure-raising check out the “tremendous boost” this this will bring to Stonehenge.

Thanks for that, what a bunch of shits.

" WHS Governance update: The Chairman noted that the Avebury WHS Steering Committee met twice a year and that the Stonehenge committee did the same. However it had been proposed by consultants that there should be a smaller, overarching executive group of about six members: an independent chair would be joined by a representative each from English Heritage, Wiltshire Council and the National Trust together possibly with two other members. There was concern that this would exclude many other stakeholders whose support was essential to make the WHS work. Examples were parish representatives, farmers and groups such as the Avebury Society. The Chairman had emailed to propose the two existing Steering Committees be retained but that they both are chaired by the same independent person, together possibly with the same, independent deputy chair for both of them. In the meantime he would forward the email to members."
