hunebedden rock!

Just back from the summer trip to Holland, spent a couple of days in Drenthe checking out the hunebedden... they are just fantastic, I would really recommend them to anyone. We managed to see 10 in a day. Finding them was very easy (by bike), the weather was gorgeous, the stones awesome, remote, beautiful, mindful etc. Someone said here that D27 (the biggie) is a bit like Stonehenge - disappointing - which I would agree with, especially as when we arrived it was covered in children and macho blokes trying to jump across all the stones, but when we went back in the evening we had it to ourselves and it was wonderful. One day we'll stick everything up on the web, but in the meantime, get yourselves to Holland and get hunebedding!
