Dartmoor Trip
Aug 14, 2000, 11:07
Just got back from a trip around some excellent sites on Dartmoor with family and girlfriend. In fact, the planned one day trip turned into two as my Dad wanted to visit more circles!

I would recommed to anyone to visit Merrivale, what a place! I also recommend Soussons Common, a small cairn-circle just off the road (for all the family) which is small but perfectly formed. For remoteness try Fernworthy and the Greywethers (take the low road and follow the field wall!). Scorhill was also impressive, if a bit run-down. I can imagine it was quite a place when it was still complete.

The best thing is that none of the sites are that remote.

I'll definitely be going back for more!

ps. Does anyone know anything about the Circles marked on the OS Explorer to the NE of Moretanhampstead?
