I would prefer silver, but perhaps you can't do the damascening pattern of the sky with silver, and thats why its been done in yellow and white gold. I don't know enough about metallurgy to tell though. The contrast colour with the silver when making the contrast colour would have to be what? -copper maybe? Didn't win the lottery again, so it's a moot point just now anyhow... tis the sigh.
