So it been a while since i showed my face on here(forgot my password *blushes*)...
So today i thought to myself that id drive somewhere and find a nice stone circle or cairn and just enjoy the day.....yeah right!!..
So Bamford Moor in the Peak district took my favour..drove 2 hours there(took the long route..i GOt lost!!)...the rain stopped, i went walking...no stone circle did i find though, the remains of 2 cairns..one that dosent appear to be on the map..so yes i went without map, compass or any thing that could aid me...then it rained, it thundered, and lightning hit the moor...lurvvvly!..in all this and wet feet and saturated 3/4 shorts i still had joy in my heart..dunno maybe it was because i fell asleep in what i think was a ringed cairn...never slept like that before ill say...so after 4 hours of wandering aimlessly, no stone circle in sight, i dragged myself through sopping wet chest high bracken and headed back to the car....was i happy?, yes!..did i hav a good time?, i had a wonderful time...apart from the more than curious rams and sheep...*beware*...will i go back?, yes..when it isnt going to rain and i know exactly where to find the stone circle!!!...looking at streetmap now i must of walked past both today!!...ohhh shucks!!!!! *headbutts wall*...
Why do we do this???...
