I'm just in the middle of Hengeworld by Mike Pitts.
I'm sure a fair few of you have already read this, and I have to say, it's a good blend of clinical archaelogy with interesting human touches.
This fellow Pitts used to be the curator at the Keiller museum and his credentials look good.
One thing that took me by surprise is his extensive chapter on the dating of Stonehenge.
The common thought is that it is Bronze Age, but he counters that it is Neolithic and has it's beginnings long before it's present dating.
Anyway, if you're looking for a book, it's not a bad one.
Take care,
Scott
