Cheshire

Hello I'm in Cheshire. I'm looking for megalithic sites in the county. The Modern Anquitarian lists no sites in ths county. I knwo of a string of Bronze age hillforts along the Eddisbury/Kelsall ridge. But no Stone Circles , no Barrows, no Megaliths. Have they been destryed? Does anyone have any information on Cheshires sites?

Hi Adlin, I live in neighbouring Shropshire, similarly (relatively) dispossessed of megaliths and suchlike. However I recently discovered, via an old book, that there is a druidical site, and that of a former standing stone, about a mile from where I now live, and a place I cherished as a boy. So you never know what may turn up, follow your instinct, it's an undervalued method.

You could save time and try these web references?...
