It's all gone slightly pear-shaped around here: I don't know if it is coincidental with Jane and Moth swanning off to Carnac :-) (seems to be from here!) but the levels of vitriol and anger seem to be completely in opposition in regard to what (I think) most of us get from our interest in prehistory and prehistoric sites. Whether people are trolling or not, I can't see any way that contra-posts are going to change their views, and to my mind, the only way to nip further hurt and anger in the bud is not to rise to the bait: don't read the thread! I know it's hard (and believe me, it doesn't sit well with me) but I can't see that any amount of talking/posting is going to make an ounce of difference one way or the other. Personally, I'm with FourWinds, Littlestone and Chief Seattle (a heady mix!) on this (cliche or not - it floats my boat):

"Take only memories and leave only footprints"
