The sooner we can get rid of its modern degraded mythic pretence (i.e. Nazism), the better. Or would we have some modern loonies forget its archaic nature because of the lunacies of a World War...?

It's difficult to "get rid of its modern degraded mythic pretence (i.e. Nazism)", when less than 60 years ago 20 million deaths were caused by people marching under the swastica and it is still the symbol of choice for neo fascists and nazis

"it is symbolic of the moving seasons, the sun and/or moon, good fortune, and the general cycles of life"
or
"its original formulation, almost everywhere, is cosmogenesis".

Doesn't really mean a thing to most folk, myself included. To me the swastica in the modern western world represents genocide, fascism, inhumanity, war and bigotry.
It is a symbol that is currently beyond redemption.
