The annual Winter Solstice Blitz, on December 21st 2004, was a great success. The weather was fantastic, and we managed to finally see a decent sunrise at the Baltray standing stones, where every year the sunrise is usually blocked by cloud on the horizon. It was partly blocked this time, but no-one minded. It was glorious. And the day's weather held up nicely.
There were about 15 of us this year, led as usual by the intrepid organiser, Munich Reilly, who is an avid historian and lover of all things ancient.
