'ow do Mr 'ob,
I passed Copt Howe yet again this afternoon (heading to Ambleside), and a car was parked up, with another just pulling into the tiny parking spot. There was at least one person looking at the rocks. It was a bit of a shitty day, so climbing seemed unlikely. I wonder if any TMA-ers were there at about 2:30-2:45pm-ish.
I was out on the tops (Bowfell), as the BBC had told people to keep off the Cumbrian mountains due to the weather (avalanches, getting blown over, etc.), even experienced winter mountaineers (me). Red rag to a bull or what? Turned out to be typical BBC hype, as expected. Saw two people blown over, and there was snow, but it was just a typical winter day on t'hill.
Best wishes to you and everyone else on TMA for another year of antiquarianism,
TE.
