>> Some people are "big in the city" but we all say we feel small when confronted with the immenseness of nature.
I'm wondering if I have time to answer this, or the vocabulary. Perhaps it suffices to say that very occasionally I have felt myself to be part of nature. Some people would feel like a small part of nature if this happened to them, but to me I can feel like the Whole of nature. But this is not a statement of 'oneness' as talked about above, because at these moments my circumstances are very different. I am only looking over my shoulder for angry farmers, not wolves.
>> Is it the city that dehumanises.
No. It's money.
>> "Survival instinct gone mad". Without that, would we be fine?
I really don't know. I can't speak for the whole of humanity in this (or anything really), but for me personally I would say that I would be fine thank you very much :-)
