Retail Advice

Working on the basis that you lot are kinda outdoorsy, maybe you can help. Can anyone point me in the direction of a decent online store where I can pick up a cylcle messenger type bag?

I have tried, without any success to get my local branch of Tiso to track me down a black North Face one which they've promised me is on the way. bugger got lost somewhere on it's onto or off the van - honest, gov. It does need to be subdued colours as I will be using it for work (office based, council meetings etc) as well as when I'm out on the bike.

Are Timbuk2 ones really the Rolls Royce of messenger bags?

Any pointers will be gratefully received.

The rolls royce of messenger bags are "Chrome".

They can be bought direct from the states through:

http://www.chromebags.com/Messengerbags.html

Or through a cycle shop in the UK:

I thought Crumplers were the dogs? Wouldn't know fer sure- not much use on a mountainbike ;)
As for on-line shops- without a doubt Chain Reaction are the best- free next day delivery, cheap as chips, decent folk;

Wiggle are meant to be good as well, though haven't used em (huge bag selection);

Edinburgh Bike Co-op have a few (including the garish Crumplers!);

as Martin said, Chain Reaction can't be beaten for service. I buy most of my mountain bike stuff from them, and it always arrives next day (and free!).

Wiggle have a huge range of bags and are usually pretty good on price:

Leisure Lakes have quite a few bags in their paper catalogue, but I couldn't see any on a quick look on the website:
